A recent study has ranked Mammoth Cave National Park as the third most disappointing U.S. tourist attraction.

The new study reportedly compiled 1-3 star reviews on websites like Google and Tripadvisor. They searched those reviews for words like disappointment and subpar to identify “disappointed” visitors.

According to the study, Mammoth Cave National Park left 19.38% of reviewers feeling let down.

After the study results were publicly released, the Mammoth Cave social media team embraced the title to point out the amazing features available at the park.

“While we think the world’s longest cave system and over 4,000 years of human history is AMAZING, others find that the cave is “very dark” and there is “nothing cool” here to see,” they wrote.

The post invited interested visitors to visit their website and “choose from one of our many activities that will leave you unfulfilled,” including exploring a “dry hole with very few stalagmites and stalactites” or discovering “nothing ‘other than trees’ on over 80+ miles of hiking, biking, horseback riding, and water trails.”

The post has garnered over 100,000 reactions and 9,000 comments on Facebook.
