Each year, the National Park Service picks a handful of days when no entrance fees will be collected at NPS sites and parks. They just revealed their list of 2025 free entrance days.
“Whether you are a family looking for a weekend getaway, friends seeking a memorable outing or even solo adventurers desiring to connect with nature, free entrance days make it easier for everyone to explore the parks,” NPS said in a news release.
Keep in mind that most of the 430+ national park sites are always free to enter. These free-entrance days are best utilized for the approximately 100 parks that charge an entrance fee.
Any experienced national park trip planner knows that the key to a successful national park trip is starting early. Many parks are already releasing campsite reservations for next spring and summer.
Knowing and planning around these dates give you the opportunity to save money on your trip!
