The Instagram account @touronsofyellowstone has hundreds of videos showing visitors misbehaving at Yellowstone National Park, each more unbelievable than the last.
The incident occurred on July 24, when park visitor Brittney Matthews shot a video of the man and the bison, according to reporting by Fox Weather.
In their latest post, a park visitor captured footage of a man facing off against a bison.
Stay safe around bison
The National Park Service advises park visitors to never approach wildlife. According to NPS, bison have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal. A male bison can weigh up to 2,000 pounds, run up to 40 miles per hour, and jump over 5-foot fences
On Yellowstone’s wildlife safety page, they advise visitors to always stay 25 feet away from bison.
If approached too closely, bison may respond by bluff charging, head bobbing while staring at you, pawing, bellowing, or snorting. This is your warning sign that a charge or bluff charge is coming.
If a bison begins charging, do not stand your ground. The park advises visitors to immediately walk or run away from the animal and seek cover behind trees or cars.
