Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park is located on Maine’s rugged Atlantic coast. The park is famous for its stunning landscapes, granite peaks, lush forests and ocean views. It’s one of the few national parks where you can experience both the mountains and the sea, making it a unique destination for those looking to explore varied landscapes in a single trip.

Acadia was the first national park east of the Mississippi. Today, at 4 million visits a year, it’s one of the top 10 most-visited national parks in the United States.

Basic Information

Entrance Fee: Standard Entrance Pass.
Size: 76.7 square miles (nearly 50,000 acres) with five entrances.
Operating Schedule: Seasonal winter closures.

For the next few weeks, hikers and bikers can explore Going-to-the-Sun Road without worrying about cars and traffic. Don't miss it! Two people are dead after falling from a cliff at Inspiration Point in Bryce Canyon National Park. Isle Royale National Park is officially open for the 2025 season! After receiving about 54,000 recommendations, local elementary school children were the final deciders for the names of Jackie and Shadow’s chicks.
