Grand Canyon National Park
The Grand Canyon is one of the most remarkable examples of erosion in the world. The park encompasses 278 miles of the Colorado River, which carved a mile-deep canyon that can be viewed from both the North and South Rim areas of the park. While the vistas are incredible, only 5% of the roughly 6.25 million people who visit the Grand Canyon every year go below the rim, where the real magic lies.
