Zion National Park

Zion National Park is one of the most visited parks in the National Park System, and for good reason. Located at the intersection of the Colorado Plateau, the Mojave Desert and the Great Basin, Zion’s landscape is truly wondrous and diverse.

Climb to Angel’s Landing to get 360 degree views or explore the Narrows in one of Zion’s slot canyons. With tower cliffs, deep canyons and the Virgin River, there are plenty of  recreational and scenic opportunities awaiting you.

Basic Information

Entrance Fee: Standard Entrance Pass.
Size: 232 square miles (148,733 acres) with both a south and east entrance.
Operating Schedule: Zion is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all year long. Each season has its advantages.

A grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park recently reminded visitors why there’s no such thing as “bear-proof.” Glacier National Park is temporarily offering a Many Glacier Day Hiker Shuttle as a way for day hikers to access Many Glacier Valley from July 1, 2025 to September 21, 2025 during construction in the Swiftcurrent area. Today is Endangered Species Day. Many species, through the diligent efforts of scientists and conservations have returned from the brink of extinction. For the next few weeks, hikers and bikers can explore Going-to-the-Sun Road without worrying about cars and traffic. Don't miss it! Two people are dead after falling from a cliff at Inspiration Point in Bryce Canyon National Park.
