Hiker injured in first Yellowstone bear attack since 2021

A 29-year-old man was injured in a bear encounter while hiking alone on the Turbid Lake Trail northeast of Mary Bay in Yellowstone National Park on Tuesday afternoon. Snow in paradise! A rare winter storm blanketed Hawaii’s tallest peaks — Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea — with up to 10 inches of snow this week. Fall storms in Death Valley have brought more rain in three months than the national park typically receives in an entire year.
